How it all began

Welcome! My name is Lauren and I began to learn to tattoo in 2015 at the age of 22. After a year of travelling australia, and no idea of what to do, I was lucky enough to be invited into the profession by my step-dad James; a seasoned tattoo artist who established The Ink Spot in 2007.

With diplomas in Art and Design I knew I wanted a creative job, and even having grown from the age of 14 in and around the shop, I never in a million years would have guessed that tattooing would also become my passion - especially with a ridiculous phobia of blood and needles!

I truly love my job, and the history behind the art of tattooing. And for anyone who may want something a little less permanent, I hope this web shop can provide tees and prints that will also stand the test of time! I’ll also be posting updates about our work and events, and share some of my thoughts on tattooing in general.
